NYU’s annual Day of Percussion, put on in partnership KoSA and Hit Like a Girl, has a new theme this year. Jonathan Haas, Director of NYU Percussion Studies, Aldo Mazza, Director of KoSA, and David Levine, Director of Hit Like a Girl, have designed a program to highlight and promote female drummers. Featured performers will include artists such as the UK’s Cherisse Osei (Bryan Ferry) and Valerie Naranjo (Lion King and Saturday Night Live), as well as the 2015 Hit Like A Girl winner Lindsay Artkop.
