The Hollywood Drum Show went off for the 17th time without a hitch on Saturday, October 7. This year’s show featured a really inspiring clinician lineup with Jason McGerr, Jason Sutter, Clayton Cameron, and the duo of Thomas Lang and Virgil Donati, who have been touring behind their drum duet with original compositions.

Clayton Cameron’s always masterful clinic delighted the crowd with a display of tricks, techniques, and methods for getting all the sounds one needs from brushes in particular. Along the way he provided a history lesson on the origin of brush technique on snare drum from the early days of jazz.
