Designed in conjunction with Grammy Award-nominated drummer Daru Jones (Jack White), the new 4-piece Daru Jones New Yorker (DJNY) kit from Pacific Drums & Percussion (PDP) is designed as gig-friendly kit for today’s working drummer. It comes in Gold-to-Black Sparkle Fade Lacquer and features hybrid poplar/maple short-stack sized shells and boutique-inspired features. The DJNY kit is packaged with DW’s award-winning 6000 Series Ultralight Hardware and durable nylon carrying bags for everything.

The set includes a 18″ x 10″ bass drum, 10″ x 5″ and 14″ x 7″ toms, and a 13″ x 6″ snare drum, all weighing less than 60 pounds. Other standard features include ratchet bass drum mount (bass drum cover plate also included), MAG snare throw-off, matching wood bass drum counter hoops, Remo heads, and more.

“The DJNY is stylish, compact, and mighty, also well versed to fit your preferred genre platform,” says Jones. “Everything about this kit is high quality, lightweight and easy to commute from point A to B on foot or by transport. The bags and stands are the icing on the cake.”

“This kit was inspired by the city, so it had to be easy to pack up and move around,” says DW Vice President of Marketing, Scott Donnell. “The goal was for it to not sound like a travel kit. We didn’t want to sacrifice sound quality for portability if we could help it. We also wanted it to be a package, so drummers had the proper cases to fit the set and the lightest hardware possible. The entire thing fits in three bags and it’s a remarkably accessible price point. If drummers are looking for a second set or gig rig, the DJNY is it.”
