Two new releases from Meinl Drumsticks struck us at NAMM 2020. First up, the rebound rods are made of a foam core surrounded by bamboo and birch dowels. The effect is a different feel and sound on the cymbals and toms. Street price is $20. We also checked out the new hybrid Switchstick 5A. It’s a little longer than a traditional 5A at 16 ¼” in length, with a Meinl’s hybrid 5a tip and a spherical mallet at the other end. They’ll also retail for $20 street price.
