It’s very possible that you’ve already seen this video of Vinnie Colaiuta performing at the infamous L.A. jazz haunt The Baked Potato in 2000, but you probably haven’t seen it with these cool new options.

The first video is in real time, just like the original, only now it includes embedded notation of the drummer’s mind-boggling drum parts. But just in case you have trouble following some of Colaiuta’s lightning fast patterns and metric modulations, check out the second video, which is presented at half speed with the very same embedded notations.

This all comes courtesy of stevesuchdrums.com, by the way, where you can download a PDF of the notation — just in case you want to print it out to try playing it at home. And if you do, good luck!
