For summer 2017, Tama introduces the limited edition Starclassic Lars Ulrich WorldWired Kit ($6,150 MSRP). This 6-piece double-bass drum set offers the same configuration as the drum set that Ulrich uses on tour with Metallica, and is designed to inspire the hard rock/metal drummer.

As part of Tama’s Starclassic Series, this replica kit features 8-ply maple 7mm shell bass drums, and 6-ply maple 5mm rack and floor toms. The meticulously applied “Deeper Purple” exterior finish — the same finish found on Ulrich’s 2017 touring kit — creates a stunning aesthetic for this pro level instrument.

The WorldWired shell pack comprises two 22″ x 16″ bass drums; 10″ x 8″ and 12″ x 10″ mounted toms; and 16″ x 14″ and 16″ x 16″ floor toms. Evans drumheads are provided on batter sides.

Other features include: Quick-Lock tom & floor tom brackets for quick, locked-in set-ups with no metal-to-metal contact; die-cast hoops made of die-cast zinc, for incredibly sharp, solid rim-shots; a Star-Cast mounting system for optimal drum shell resonance and projection; Air-Cushioned floor tom legs for superior shock absorption; chrome shell hardware; and Hold Tight washers.
