In partnership with The New Orleans Jazz Museum, Grammy Award-winning drummer and recording artist, author, and instructor Stanton Moore (Galactic) will host his Fifth Annual “Spirit Of New Orleans” (SONO) Drum Camp on December 8, 9, and 10, 2017 at The Cabildo On Jackson Square.
The exclusive “Spirit Of New Orleans” Drum Camp will offer a limited number of students the chance to play along with and learn from Moore in an intensive classroom setting. Each student will play on an individual practice drum kit.
SONO offers three 8-hour days of hands-on drumming, including small group instruction as well as opportunities for private lessons with New Orleans drumming legend Johnny Vidacovich and “King of Treme” Shannon Powell.
In addition, camp attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the SONO finale concert featuring Big Chief Juan Pardo, David Torkanowsky, James Singleton, and special guests at New Orleans’ Snug Harbor jazz club, and more.
