British Drum Co. in Stockport, England, announces that EMD Music is now its exclusive distributor in the United States, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Austria, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, and Denmark.
This new arrangement brings the manufacturer’s three drum set offerings — the 10-ply all-birch Legend (pictured above); the vintage-inspired 9-ply mahogany/birch Lounge; and the 10-ply all-maple Imp kit — to customers in these countries.
In addition to snare drums that match up with those three kits, British Drum Co. offers the 20-ply birch/maple Merlin, the Big Softy for studio and stage, and the chrome-on-brass Bluebird.
All of the wood shells are cold pressed into shape and available in unique colors and finishes. Triple-flange hoops and the company’s own-design Art Deco-style Palladium chrome tuning lugs are fitted throughout.
British Drum Co. was founded in September 2015 by master drum maker Keith Keough; Kasabian drummer Ian Matthews; military marching drummer and co-founder of the Highwaymen Drum Corps Stu Warmington; product designer Alan Kitching; and award winning comedian and drum enthusiast Al Murray, aka popular British entertainment personality The Pub Landlord. Original Verve drummer Pete Salisbury recently joined as Head of Development.
