Todd Barton got into the business of drummaking with one goal: to make really good drums very affordable. Working with his own facility in China Barton builds kits that typically range from $700 to $1300 depending on setup. At the SoCal Drum Show this past April he was introducing his new Kapur-Bubinga hybrid series, which features inner and outer plies of kapur over bubinga inner plies, with lacquer finishes.
